Reviews about Shoppers Drug Mart

Having recently switched pharmacies (to SDM at Danforth and Ellerbeck) I have noticed a vast difference in knowledge and politeness of the pharmacists and team. While the queues can be long in peak hours, the staff keep their customer focused approach in mind and take the time to answer any queries. My only complaint is that on occasion, inventory on bonus points products are out of stock. I wish also that the inventory on electronics was more varied. On the flip side, I can do all my grocery shopping here now. -Gives literal meaning to "One Stop Shopping " I love the time this saves me .

I like the convenience of having a post office close by. Otherwise I'd have to go 20 mins out of my way to get to the next post office at the Carrot Commons. The post office at this location though convenient for location isn't so much for hours of operation as they close a lot sooner than the one over by Carrot Commons. As a person with limited mobility I am not fond of stores whose layout forces us the long way around. In this case their entrance forces us all the way to the furthest point from the post office in relationship to the building entrance. Plus it forces us through the perfume aisles where those of us with allergies must hold our breaths to enter the store. From the entrance/exit to the post office is it approximately 100+ foot steps. I am a disabled person and walking isn't my forte - neither is holding my breath while trying to escape the excessively perfumed perfume aisles. Also on wet rainy or slushy days, the floor mats by the entrance are saturated to the point simply walking on them seems to squish out more fluid than they can contain. Careful with walking at this location on those days because of their poor tiling choice, the floors are very slippery. Since Loblaws bought them out and they now merged their Optimum points program with the PC Plus program to make the PC Optimum plan - some things are a bit better now. Though I fail to see why they tried to incorporate more grocery aisle including a single aisle (3 tables) of fruits and vegetables when an actual Loblaws is less than a 5 mins walk away. The new self serve check out don't take cash but will allows us to swipe our PC Optimum cards. I don't know if they will allow us to redeem points but I do know we can swipe to earn points.
