  Gadabout is a treasure trove of true vintage. No terrible thrift store garbage here! The prices are on the high end of things, which is why I docked one star, but if you have a big budget and are looking for late 1800s through 1950s, there are few places better in the city. If you love trinkets and other small collectables, they also have that type of stuff in huge amounts. I'm pretty sure they do some kind of rental options for film and theatre, too, as I often see stylists scouting items for specific projects there.

  Stepping into Gadabout is always such a treat! It's like walking into a museum, only you can touch and buy everything...and there is no admission fee! The first time I stepped into the store, I spent 3 hours sifting through as many treasures as I possibly could. Victoria, the store owner, makes the experience even more enjoyable, as she is full of amazing information on each and every item in the store. I have purchased a range of one of a kind pieces here ranging from a gorgeous hat box to a vintage Sherman necklace. She has everything under the sun, my best piece of advice is to go and experience it for yourself! Just make sure you give yourself time :)
